Minneapolis Cider Co. led the way in Minnesota with its successful launch of Trail Magic, a non-alcoholic THC-infused cider on July 29. It all started just weeks prior with a phone call to EnviroStar with an idea and gave way to a collaborative partnership.
“Envirostar has been a true partner in launching Trail Magic,” said Jason Dayton, Co-Founder of Minneapolis Cider Co. “Envirostar provided expertise and consultation that allowed us to move quickly while doing so responsibly and upholding industry best practices.”
The cider, infused with 3 mg of THC per can, received a positive welcome to the market, by the media and consumers alike. It comes in two flavors — pineapple and mixed berry — in time for summer celebrations and Labor Day festivities.
“The team at Envirostar is second to none,” Dayton said. “Their deep subject matter expertise allowed our production team to go from test batch to full scale production at an unprecedented speed.”
The EnviroStar team helped with everything from formulation development, the infusion process and quality testing to training the Minneapolis Cider team and providing support at the launch party. This marks Minneapolis Cider’s first THC-infused cider, coming just after Minnesota passed a new law legalizing edible cannabinoid products as of July 1.
“Trail Magic was the first THC-infused beverage to launch in Minnesota after legalization,” Dayton said. “This would not have been possible without the team at Envirostar.”
Minneapolis Cider Co. has since continued to use the EnviroStar ingredients to develop new products, including an Arnold Palmer-inspired beverage.
